Coffee With CloudWerx Ep. 2 - Peter Fishman & Dan Silberman

We’re back with another episode of Coffee With CloudWerx. Helping our customers on their journey to success means understanding their company’s mission, origin story, new projects, and hopes for the future. In this segment, Betsy Reed (Co-Founder and CRO of CloudWerx) sits down with the founders and leaders of the incredible companies that make up our client base for a quick coffee and chat.

In our latest episode, we are thrilled to be joined by Peter Fishman and Dan Silberman – co-founders of Mozart Data. Since its inception in 2020, Mozart Data has been on a mission to create a data platform that gives anyone the tooling to centralize, organize, and arrange data for analysis. With an emphasis on “anyone”, Mozart empowers its diverse customer set to make the most of their data, regardless of engineering or technical expertise.

Assembling a set of data tools can be a challenging and time-consuming undertaking for a start-up. Friends and colleagues for over 20 years, Fishman and Silberman have been wrangling data, building stacks at numerous start-ups. “At each place, we implemented data stacks to make data effective at those companies. That data stack, for the most part, looks the same over and over again.” Fishman told Reed in the interview. Mozart Data was born when they decided to offer that data stack more broadly with an easy-to-use interface. Building a platform of tools with intuitive defaults but allowing for customization for more data-savvy users, Mozart allows users of all backgrounds to utilize data without a dedicated team of data engineers.

The company graduated from the Y Combinator Summer 2020 cohort and has since grown to over 25 employees with over 50 customers. Powering their data infrastructure with Mozart allows all kinds of businesses to focus their efforts on analyzing data sets unique to their industry by significantly reducing the time to insight.

Our conversation with the two co-founders touches on their remarkable decades-long friendship, forming a company during the pandemic, their approaches to effective customer onboarding, and more. Grab yourself a cup of joe and get ready to listen in on another Coffee With Cloudwerx.
