After a full year of hard work, the CloudWerx team was finally able to step out into the world to connect with our fantastic network. We’ve been able to meet with customers at dinners, sporting events, and networking meet-ups. We have co-hosted events with Google and other ISV partners and have enjoyed meeting the people that helped Cloudwerx become the fastest partner to reach Google Premier Partner status. We’d like to share some of our favorite moments from the last year and are excited for more fun events to come!
Last summer, CloudWerx teamed up with one of the fast-growing security companies in Silicon Valley, Lacework, for our first in-person event! The event itself featured delicious appetizers, a guided whiskey tasting, and expert presentations from the CEO of Lacework, David Hatfield, and leaders at CloudWerx about The State of Cloud and Data Security.
Nobody brings style to an outing quite like Betsy Reed, our Co-Founder, and VP. While in Nashville, for another customer event, she schooled Eric Klostermann, our Google Partnerships Director, on Southern style at the Broadway Boot Barn before attending a honkytonk with the Google team! Rachel Elrod (Google) and Betsy Reed were (of course) the belles of the ball later that night when they hosted the team at Rippy’s Barbeque on Broadway. Eric managed to keep up with Betsy – he's got years of experience! These two are long-time colleagues and partners in crime.
CloudWerx partnered with the Lacework team for round two and hosted customers in a suite at the San Jose Sharks game. Tasty appetizers, cold drinks, and great conversation were on tap again that night as team members from some of CloudWerx’s largest customers got the chance to talk about cloud security and how to efficiently scale their organizations!

Jason, Betsy, Eric and David (Field Sales Manager @ CloudWerx) sat down with Ketan Patel (Head of Strategic SMB Partnerships, North America @ Google) and Livia Cadaval (Strategic Partnerships Manager @ Google) to discuss growth plans and team expansion before an indulgent steak dinner out in Austin at Roaring Fork!
