Carbon

Pioneering 3D Printing With First Mover Migration

Manufacturing

Highlights

Carbon, a 3D printing pioneer, partnered with CWX to migrate from AWS to Google Cloud. The first phase involved creating a secure GCP landing zone and migrating critical Kubernetes services, laying the foundation for further migration.

The Challenge

Carbon needed a secure, scalable GCP foundation to migrate from AWS, including modernizing CI/CD pipelines, refactoring applications for Kubernetes, and ensuring robust security for sensitive data and operations.

The Solution

CWX deployed a GCP landing zone with hybrid connectivity, high-availability GKE clusters, and automated CI/CD pipelines. Applications were refactored, tested, and integrated with AWS, and Security Command Center Premium was activated for enhanced security monitoring.

The Implementation Process

A secure GCP foundation was established, ready for full application stack migration. Successful migration of CI/CD pipelines and application modernization on GKE enhanced security monitoring through Security Command Center Premium.
